This batik fabric is hand-stamped with a copper stamp known in Indonesia as a “cap”. This entire fabric is stamped with hot wax and then dunked in the dyes creating Indonesian ‘cap batik’. The fabric is finally soaked in hot water to remove the wax and then hung to dry in the strong Indonesian sun.
